Living the dream!
I am writing you today with a heavy heart and bold convictions. Earlier this year God woke me up in the cold of night with a very detailed dream. I am not a big dreamer and I hardly remember any dreams, but I couldn’t shake this one. As I lay in bed trying to drift back to sleep, I found myself becoming more and more anxious. I wondered if I ate some bade pizza or something, but I couldn't ignore what was happening. I decided to get up, read my Bible, pray and journal. This was a time of great soul searching and uncertainty. The reason being was because I dreamed that I was the youth pastor of Hoffmantown Church . I wasn’t sure what God was doing in my life at the time, but my wife and I decided that He was either preparing my heart to leave Sagebrush or solidifying my love for the people of Sagebrush. Believe it or not, He did both. I found that my love for our students, leaders, parents and staff grew tremendously. With that being said, God was also preparing my heart to leave. Over the last year I have had four specific and detailed dreams about joining the team at Hoffmantown. At times I felt like through these dreams I was testing God like the miracle of the fleece found in Judges 6.36-40. I didn’t want to make any decision concerning the future of CRAVE out of haste. Therefore, I waited on God. My wife Tasha and I prayed week after week trying to decide what God was doing in our lives. Over time, God has confirmed in many ways that His will for me is to take the position as Youth Pastor at Hoffmantown Church. I have greatly enjoyed the last 5 ½ years on staff at Sagebrush and I genuinely value each relationship which God has allowed me to be involved with.
